Dr. Levine’s wife, Dr. Sheryl Radin, has a state-of-the-art pediatric dental practice at Growing Smiles at Floral Vale in Yardley, Pennsylvania. Their daughter, Bari, and son, Ross, are both pediatric dentists and graduates of Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Ross Levine practices with his mother, Dr. Sheryl Radin. Dr. Bari Levine opened her private practice limited to pediatric dentistry at Growing Smiles Main Line Pediatric Dentistry in 2022. When time allows, Dr. Robert A. Levine enjoys tennis, skiing, hiking, photography, and scuba diving. He has coached soccer, baseball and softball for his children.
Civil War Reenactment Participation
Another special passion is his 25+ year involvement with the 69th Pennsylvania Regiment Civil War Reenactment Group. Dr. Levine plays guitar in the “69th Pennsylvania Irish Volunteers – a Civil War Band” and with the band, has raised over $100,000. All proceeds are donated for Civil War battlefield preservation, educational grants to promote the teaching and preservation of American and Irish history and Civil War head stone dedications (113 to date) which are placed yearly on Veterans Day for soldiers whose families could not afford to pay and were buried without a headstone after the American Civil War. The band has two, acclaimed Irish Civil War CDs, “Rock of Erin” (2002) and “In Their Honor” (2006). The band plays at Irish pubs, Celtic Irish festivals, Civil War reenactments and has also been featured in the movie and soundtrack of “Placebo” (released 2008 – Anomaly Films). Dr. Levine and his wife have personally become actively involved in battlefield preservation efforts at numerous Civil War sites including Gettysburg, PA; Raymond, MS; Franklin, TN; New Bern, NC and Glendale, VA.
Charitable Missions
In 2015, along with his wife, Dr. Sheryl Radin, and their children, Dr. Bari Levine and Dr. Ross Levine, Dr. Robert A. Levine helped form “Growing Smiles Foundation,” as a non-profit organization which on a yearly basis (2014-2018) provided free, comprehensive dental care to children and adults at several orphanages and schools in Lima, Peru. Also accompanying Dr. Levine and his family on these charitable missions were many dental students and faculty from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. The UPC Lima, Peru dental school provided valuable dental assistance and acted as translators. They continue to carry on our tradition to the present.
